🌟 Last week, our middle and high school students were inspired by the incredible Missy West, a motivational speaker who truly knows how to ignite passion and drive! She was born and raised in Malone and received a full scholarship to attend Duke University with her amazing basketball skills. With 7 Hall of Fame inductions, 3 times Conference Coach of the Year honors, and 12 years of collegiate coaching experience at both the Division III and II levels, her insights and achievements inspire us all. Her slogan, "Fear Means it's Go Time!" resonated with everyone in the room, reminding us that challenges are just opportunities in disguise.
One faculty member, J Barnhart shared, “It was fantastic! Missy coming to speak at NAC was a great opportunity for our entire student body as well as our staff and faculty. She offered great strategies for real-life situations on how to handle stress and disappointment, along with positive ways to stay motivated and never give up when following your dreams and aspirations. It was also super important for our student athletes to have another perspective from someone from a small town like NAC, who has been super successful through hard work. Very progressive and needed! Loved it!!”
