NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship
**$1,500 dollar award available
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a senior in high school
Applicant must have achieved at least one (1) of the following: (a) minimum of B+ average; (b)ranked in the top 25% of class; (c) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1100 (Math and Reading)
Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport
Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports
Applicant must complete attached scholar/essay application
Applicant must have a letter of recommendation from the high school athletic administrator/director
School athletic administrator/director must be an NIAAA member and a member of their respective state athletic administrators association
The principal or athletic administrator/director must sign the application to ensure that the academic information submitted is accurate

Eligibility:
1. Applicant must be a NYS resident, pursing an agricultural-related area of undergraduate study (i.e. Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Crop & Soil Sciences, Entomology, Food Sciences, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Economics).
2. Scholarship will be awarded based on area of study, academic achievement, and leadership abilities.

Union Plus Scholarship
* $500 to $4,000 dollars
Eligibility criteria:
Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus program, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations) are eligible. Grandchildren are not eligible unless a legal dependent (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one year membership minimum must be satisfied by May 31, 2024.
Members of participating unions from the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada are eligible.
The applicant must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college, university, community college, technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. Awards must be used for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Hagan Scholarship
*up to $7,500 per college semester
Eligibility:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Must attend a traditional public high school located in the U.S. that is governed by a school district.
3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
4. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
5. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college.
6. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2024 until commencement of the 2024 fall semester in college. Work can be performed at recipient discretion. Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Most recipients work during the summer months. However, all paid employment counts, including part-time employment during this time period.
7. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $85,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.
8. Applicants selected as Finalists in early 2024 must provide a copy of their FAFSA SAR.
9. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
10. Must not have a felony conviction.

Eligibility:
Be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member.
Attend high school as a senior who is enrolled in the fall 2024 school year at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning or an accredited technical post-secondary school.
Serve as a current Junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer department; a volunteer firefighter; or a volunteer with an EMS unit.

American Legion Auxilliary Children of Warriors Scholarship

Eligibility:
Candidates for this award shall be direct descendants of veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941. Membership in The American Legion Family is not required for this scholarship.

This is a scholarship to attend an accredited institution of higher education.

Eligibility:
U.S. Citizens.

Planning to enroll or already enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
